The practice

Targeted stretching. Individual attention.

Myofascial Stretch is a private, assisted stretching session tailored to how you move. Christopher supports and guides your body through controlled stretches, adjusting the position, pace, and intensity to your range of motion and comfort.

Your first visit includes a movement assessment, but most of your appointment is hands-on work. The session focuses on the areas and movements that matter to you: turning for a golf swing, reaching overhead, or feeling less restricted in everyday movement.

Who this is for

  • Athletes and active adults. Dedicated flexibility work to complement lifting, running, golf, tennis, or other regular training.
  • Stiffness, chronic pain, and daily strain. For desk workers, frequent travelers, and anyone whose ongoing discomfort makes reaching, bending, or turning harder. Focused stretching may ease muscular stiffness and tension, and can be part of a clinician-guided plan for chronic-pain relief when appropriate for your condition.
  • People prioritizing recovery. Hands-on stretching between physically demanding days, as part of a balanced movement and recovery routine.

Living with chronic pain or returning after an injury? Ask your doctor or physical therapist whether assisted stretching is appropriate before booking. This session does not replace medical care or rehabilitation.

What to expect on the table

  1. A clear starting point.

Your first-visit movement assessment helps identify where to focus. It is included in your appointment time.

  2. Supported, hands-on stretching.

Christopher guides each stretch with steady, hands-on support, adapting the position and pace to your mobility, comfort, and feedback.

  3. Intensity you can control.

You can ask to ease off, change position, or stop at any point. A stretch should feel like tension, not pain.

Strength, mobility, and long-term vitality.

Pair assisted stretching with personal training for a well-rounded approach to how your body moves. Stretch sessions focus on flexibility and range of motion; training develops strength and control through movement. Together, they support the goal of staying active, capable, and independent as you age.

For people living with chronic pain, appropriately adapted exercise can be part of a broader management plan. Your healthcare professional can help you decide what is suitable for you.

Before you book

How is this different from massage?

The focus here is guided movement through stretching positions, rather than massage of the soft tissues. If you enjoy hands-on work and want to make flexibility and range of motion the priority, assisted stretching offers a different approach.

Do I need to be flexible already?

No. The starting point is your current range of motion. Positions and intensity are adjusted to you; you do not need to reach a particular shape or level of flexibility.

What if I have an injury, recent surgery, or a health condition?

Check with your doctor or physical therapist about whether assisted stretching is suitable and any movements to avoid. Share their guidance and relevant limitations before your session. New, unexplained, or worsening pain needs medical assessment rather than an attempt to stretch through it.
